Members of China Trademark Association visited Osaka and “2019 JPAA & CTA Trademark Professional Training Course” was held.

Members of China Trademark Association visited Osaka from September 24 to 27 and Tokyo on September 30, and “2019 JPAA & CTA Trademark Professional Training Course” was held.   September 24

In the morning, we invited Mr. Katsuhiro NEGISHI, Director for Trademark Examination Planning of Japan Patent Office, as a speaker. Mr. Negishi delivered a presentation regarding “Current Situation of Trademark Policy and Activities in Future”.	Lecture of Mr. Negishi
In the afternoon, Mr. Sei SAITO, Patent Attorney, delivered a presentation regarding “Similarity”, and Mr. Tsutomu TAKEHARA, Patent Attorney, delivered a presentation regarding “Goods and Services Capable of Distinguishing Oneself from Others”. In the morning, Mr. Norihiko FUJITA, the Executive Director of JPAA, Patent Attorney,  Attorney at law, delivered a presentation regarding “Japanese Trademark Agency System and Management of Patent Attorneys in Japan”.	Lecture of Mr. Fujita

In the afternoon, Ms. Miki TOMII, Patent Attorney, delivered a presentation regarding “Protection of Established Trademarks in Japan”, and Mr. Motohiro KATSUMI, Patent Attorney, delivered a presentation regarding “Cancellation proceedings of Trademark Registrations in Japan”.

  September 26 In the morning, the members of CTA visited ASICS Corporation. After learning History and Technology of ASICS at ASICS Sports Museum, Mr. Koji SAITO, General Manager of Intellectual Property Department, delivered a presentation regarding “Activities for Protecting “ASICS” Brand -Endeavors for Fighting against Counterfeit-”

In the afternoon, the members of CTA visited Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum and learned Traditions and Brands of Sake Brewing Company which has a history as long as 270 years.   September 27

In the morning, Mr. Misao SHIMIZU, the former Chief Judge of Intellectual Property High Court, delivered a lecture regarding “Updates on Establishment and Usage of Trademark Rights in Japan”.	Lecture of Mr. Shimizu

September 30

In the morning, the members of CTA visited Japan Patent Office. JPO delivered lectures regarding “Defensive Mark System” and “Examination Practices against Bad-faith Trademark Filings”.	Group Photo at JPO

In the Afternoon, the members of CTA visited Intellectual Property High Court and had a meeting regarding IP Judicial System in Japan. The Training Course was a great opportunity for the participants to learn Trademark Practice in Japan deeply.
